Gray Matter Consulting and its team successfully submitted a grant through the Department of Transportation's TIGER (Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery) grant for the Lafayette Parish Consolidated Government. This highly competitive grant award allowed the Parish and the City of Lafayette to better coordinate with the State of Louisiana on the planned 5.5 million elevated freeway through downtown Lafayette, and will fund both planning and community outreach for the region to ensure the construction of the freeway doesn't adversely impact historical neighborhoods located in the proposed construction area.
